Card Layouts: Grid, List, and Compact
Choose how cards display - from full detail grids to compact lists that show 5–6 items per screen.
When you're scanning hundreds of bags, the default card grid isn't always what you want. Sometimes you need the full picture - images, stats, features. Other times you just want to quickly scroll through options and spot the right price and weight.
Three Layouts, One View
Cards now support three layouts you can switch between in Settings:
Grid - the original vertical cards with images, all your selected columns, sections, and text blocks. Best for browsing when you want to see everything.
List - horizontal cards with a square thumbnail alongside your stats. More items visible at once while keeping images in view.
Compact - the new density-focused layout. Each item is a single row: small thumbnail, name, price, and a curated set of key stats as tags. You'll see 5–6 items per screen on mobile instead of 1–2.
Smart Defaults
On mobile, Compact is the default - you see more items immediately and can tap through to details. On desktop, you start with the full Grid. Either way, your choice is saved per dataset.
Curated Stats
Compact mode shows a specific set of columns chosen to give you the most useful information at a glance. For travel bags, that's volume, weight, size category, and style. Unlike Grid and List where you can customize columns, Compact keeps things intentionally tight.
Try It
Open any dataset, tap the settings icon (⋮), and switch between Grid, List, and Compact under Cards. Your preference sticks - even when you share a link.
Technical note: Each dataset defines which layouts are available and what columns appear in compact mode. Layout state persists in localStorage per dataset and syncs to the URL as ?layout=compact for sharing.
