Airline Carry-On Limits
Compare carry-on and personal item size limits for 100+ airlines worldwide.
Ever tried to figure out if your bag will fit on a budget airline's strict limits? We've added a new dataset to help.
Airlines Dataset
The Airlines dataset/) includes carry-on and personal item limits for over 100 airlines worldwide:
- Personal item dimensions – The smaller bag that goes under the seat
- Carry-on dimensions – Standard overhead bin allowance
- Weight limits – Where applicable
- Region and alliance – Filter by where you fly
How It Works With Bags
The two datasets are connected. When you're looking at a bag in the Onebag dataset, you'll see:
- Airline Fit category – Personal Item, Underseat, International, USA, or Oversize
- Compliance percentage – What percentage of airlines accept it as carry-on
- Specific airlines – Filter to see only bags that fit your preferred carriers
This makes it easy to find a bag that works for your regular routes, whether you're flying United domestically or Ryanair in Europe.
Searchable Airline Filter
For the bags dataset, we've added a searchable airline dropdown. Start typing an airline name and select from the matches. You can select multiple airlines to find bags that fit all of them.
The bag's detail page also shows a complete list of compatible airlines, so you can quickly check before your next trip.
Data Sources
Airline limits are sourced from official airline websites and updated periodically. Dimensions are normalized to centimeters for consistency.
